Delayed

Well I am very sorry to report that I will not be able to share my tale about Medora until another time. I went to the dentist earlier today and now I am in extreme pain. So please check back later this weekend.

Let the fun begin...

Maybe I should rename this one? I think "Let the CRAZINESS begin" is more fitting.

Tomorrow is Josiah's 4th birthday party. (His actual birthday is Wednesday!) However that would not be the problem if that was all that was scheduled. So tomorrow's schedule goes something like this:

Wake up

Run 3 miles (which was supposed to happen today)

Get everyone ready for church. (btw Grandparents are here too!)

Get to church early because Joe has to teach!

Get lunch.

Wait for Wal-mart to open so we can get the cake. Yes you read that correctly, here in ND they
have a Blue Law and not stores can open before noon on Sundays. So there is actually a line of people waiting outside of Wal-mart for it to open.

Hurry home and finish prep of the food for the party.

Set up and cover the tables in the backyard (all while praying that this CRAZY Minot weather doesn't change!)

Have party and LOTS of FUN :)

Clean up

Finish up last minute laundry.

Pack for our 4 day trip to Medora for 4 people including an infant and all that stuff.

Re-arrange the car so everyone is comfortable for the 4 hour drive!

Go to bed because we are leaving early on Monday.


We should have seriously rethought some of this craziness!

Rain...

On Sunday night we decided to have a little camp dinner. We had our fire going and all the yummy camp foods; hotdogs, brats, pizza sandwiches, homemade ice cream and of course smores! Just as we were finishing our dinners we started to feel the evil rain! I am calling this evil rain because we had checked the forecast and rechecked it and there was NO RAIN! However outside our house was a much different story.

We decided not to let a little rain stop us from having fun so here is how we fixed the problem.
Take that Minot! We aren't going to let your evil rain stop us! All in all a GREAT time was had by all.

Will this be a daydream or will it come true?

Well I have a dream...no this is not a version of Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech. This is a dream or maybe just something that I have to prove to myself.

I have decided to run a half marathon! Yes, you read that correctly. I have committed to run a half marathon (13.1 miles) in September.

To be complete honest I am a bit scared, I really don't want to let myself down. So please feel free to sent encouragement my way, I know for sure that I will need it!

Here is an outline that I am going to use to train. A friend of mine advised me to check out Hal Higdon training program. So lets see how this goes.

So today I am having a "mom moment," I am picking out a picture to mark Josiah's 4 birthday on the calendar! I can't believe that my baby will be 4 in just 14 short days. Where did the time go?
